16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence
The 16 Days of Activism against Gender Violence is a global campaign to raise awareness about violence against women and its impact on a woman’s well-being.
Awareness to Accountability
The campaign commences on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and concludes on 10 December, Human Rights Day.
This year the goal of the 16 days campaign continues the multi-year theme (2018-2020) to end gender-based violence (GBV) and harrassment in the world of work. The focus for 2020 is on informal women workers
Each year the Future We Need group (Ireland), of which Sisters of Mercy are members, re-edit their series of leaflets, one for each day of the campaign. These have been re-uploaded in time for the start of this year’s campaign.
