Touched by God’s mercy and compassion and fired by the inspiration of the Gospel and Catherine McAuley, Sisters of Mercy advocate, educate and collaborate with others to help people into their own home. A safe and affordable place to live is a basic human right (article 25) and fundamental to an individual and family’s well-being, providing stability, privacy and security. In the words of Mercy Housing USA, ‘We believe that affordable housing and supportive programs improve the economic status of residents, transform neighborhoods and stabilize lives.’
