Mercy Water Justice Mapping Survey Update
)
We extend our thanks to everyone who completed our Mercy Water Justice Survey. We received submissions from across the Mercy world, including Australia, Kenya, USA, Philippines and more!
The largest response was from Sisters and from Mercy Affiliates.
The most common priority area for Mercy Water Justice is ‘Water as a Public Good’, which refers to the management, privatisation and commodification of water, and the negative impacts that poses on water as a human right.
The second most common priority area is ‘Water Supply and Stress’, which focuses on the scarcity and oversupply and flooding in various communities.
There are so many incredible actions being undertaken on a local, national and global level in the Mercy world.
We look forward to sharing more in our upcoming publication which we hope to have available ahead of the UN Water Conference from 8-10 December 2026.
If you missed out on completing the survey you can still contact us directly to let us know what's happening for you in the area of water justice actions.
