Sister Jude Walsh’s book, An Enduring Legacy: Savannah’s Sisters of Mercy and St. Vincent’s Academy, documents 170 years of history, starting with the founding of the Convent and Academy of St. Vincent de Paul in July 1845.
Her book includes many photographs as well as stories of the impact events such as the Civil War, the two World Wars and the Great Depression on the school and surrounding area.
