Global Action Team in conjunction with Mercy around the world begin a campaign of education and advocacy to effect outcomes of RIO+20 Conference.

Two on line programmes: Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation, co-ordinated by Kathleen Rushton rsm (ANZ) in conjunction with Duquesne University (US) offered to Mercy Sisters and Associates worldwide

Research project to oppose Trafficking in the Hospitality industry begun. Meeting of 2nd. World Mercy Congregational Representatives (WMCRC) for the Canonisation of Catherine McAuley.
May 2012
MIA Members (Mercy Leaders) are presented by Mary Sullivan, rsm with ‘The Path of Mercy’, the authorized biography of Catherine McAuley, which Mary researched and published in response to a request from the Members.
August 2012
Fundraising/Development Director appointed. Case Statement and promotional Video produced. Major project on digitising Archival material at MIC begun. As well as this being a security measure, it will give wider access to these resources. Led to discovery of an original image of Catherine McAuley.
October 2012
A review of pilgrimages and programmes at MIC highlights a major increase in the numbers of Partners in Ministry and students engaging in pilgrimages, programmes and tours at MIC.

Mercy International Centre was one of 100 buildings invited to participate in the Irish Architecture Foundation’s Open House Dublin.

Intensive work at UN on identifying entry points into the post 2015 Development Agenda.

Mercy e-News celebrated its 500th edition of publication. 2nd Three year Strategic Plan launched.

Training in advocacy, grounded in Theological Reflection, organised by Global Action Team and offered to Mercy participants at UN.
November 2013
Co-ordinated Mercy Response to disaster in the Philippines as a result of Typhoon Haiyan. Over half a million euro donated.

Launch of 20th Anniversary of MIA celebrations.

20th Anniversary celebrations were live-streamed. Live-streaming events of September 23-29, 2014 not only enabled Mercy people around the world to meet online and be together in ways not possible previously, but to do so with a heightened appreciation and sense of unity.

Programmes were provided by MIA for Sisters, Associates and Partners in Ministry in several venues in Southern and Eastern Australia.

The Executive Director of MIA visited the Philippines and had the honour of meeting many of the recipients of aid provided by the Mercy Philippine Support Fund and in the name of all the donors receiving the thanks of the people.

It being the Year of Consecrated Life, twelve Mercy scholars were invited to contribute articles, one each month, on the theme of Mercy. These were uploaded to the www. mercyworld.org website to ensure they were widely available. An e-book produced of the series and made available on the www.mercyworld.org website

Mercy International Reflection Process endorsed by MIA Members and board at their May meeting. It begins with a six month preparation time promoted and resourced through the www.mercyworld.org website

‘VOICES’ set of video interviews with 14 scholars and other experts from various disciplines produced for Stage Three of the Mercy International Reflection Process to assist all who seek a better understanding of the action of God in our world today, particularly in the light of the challenge to respond to ‘The Cry of the Earth and the Cry of the Poor’.
